NGS Members!

The Nebraska Geological Society is now soliciting photographs for the 2025 NGS calendar. This year we have chosen a broad theme to include any image of geological or earth science interest. Please submit your photographs by email to dmatlock@thielegeotech.com along with a suggested caption. Please include your contact information, a description of the photo, location, and when the photo was taken. Digital photo submissions should be high resolution, 300 dpi jpgs/pdfs/tifs (file size approximately 3-8 MB or more).

Selections for the 2025 Calendar will be made by NGS Calendar Committee. Those chosen for inclusion will be notified, and a waiver allowing the Society to use and publish the photograph will need to be completed at that time. The photographer/institution will receive credit in the caption and receive a free calendar.

We are also looking for sponsors for our 2025 calendar. Calendar sponsorships are available for a $150 donation and allow the sponsor to display their logo on one month of the calendar. The sponsor will also receive 5 calendars as a thank you.

The 2025 NGS Calendar will be a thank you gift for a $15 donation to NGS scholarship awards, and particularly the Yatkola-Edwards Grant. Because production of the calendar is fully covered by our generous calendar sponsors, all proceeds from the calendar promotion can be used for undergraduate and graduate scholarship awards.

Our goal is to have a calendar to present at the September NGS meeting, so submissions are due by August 16, 2024. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for your interest and participation!
