The Nebraska Geological Society is soliciting photographs and images for their 2023 NGS CalendarDeadline for submission has been extended to October 14, 2022.

Corporate Sponsorships are available for $150 and provide the sponsors with the opportunity to display their logo on one month of the calendar.  Please contact me at the email below and I can issue an invoice to accept your gift.

The NGS Calendar is funded by corporate sponsors and supplied as a thank you gift for donations to NGS scholarship awards, and especially the Yatkola-Edwards Grant.  All proceeds from the calendar promotion will be used for undergraduate and graduate scholarship awards.

This year we are looking for photographs and images of Quaternary Geology of Nebraska.  This topic includes a wide variety of areas including exposed rocks and sediments, geomorphology, surface hydrology, and environmental geology.  Beyond photographs, graphics such as maps, diagrams, and technical imaging are welcomed. Please share this solicitation with students and colleagues that have research to share!

Please submit your images by email to the address below along with a suggested caption.  Please include your contact information, a description of the photo, location, and when the photo was taken.  Digital photo submissions should be high resolution, 300 dpi jpgs/pdfs/tifs (file size approximately 3-8 MB or more).

Selections for the 2023 Calendar will be made by NGS Calendar Committee.  Those chosen for inclusion will be notified, and a waiver allowing the Society to use and publish the photograph will need to be completed at that time.  The photographer/institution will receive credit in the caption and also receive a free calendar when they are completed.

Thank you for your interest.  Please feel free contact me if you have any questions.
